| Abstract The use of new technologies has played an important role in the field of English language teaching in recent years. Digital storytelling is one of the uses of technology in education that can not only keep English language teaching in Iran in line with global advances in this field, but also be effective in spreading Iranian culture. Therefore, in the present study, first, some information is provided about digital storytelling and the advantages of using it in various aspects of education. Then, a practical example of using this technology in teaching the past tense of English verbs based on a folk tale called "The Lying Shepherd" is presented. This method uses the world's latest educational technologies in classrooms and enhances the learning process in English language teaching classes in Iran too. As a result, this research can be a step towards understanding the necessity of using digital storytelling in English language classes and textbooks in Iranian schools and making profit from the benefits of this educational method. |
