چکیده مقاله
In the digital age, there have been major changes in the field of English novels anywhere in the world; the telling, sharing, and experiencing of stories have undergone significant transformation. This paper looks into the advances and changes that technology has brought to a conventional narrative structure with respect to traditional and modern Scottish novels. It studies the advent of interactivity in the form of digital adaptations of Choose Your Own Adventure books, which allows readers to influence narrative outcomes, and also the borrowing of multimedia elements in more modern adaptations of English literary works, such as Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Another feature of this study considers the influence of artificial intelligence on novel creation, such as those driven with AI tools to develop new narratives or future endings of classic stories. Immersive technologies like virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) are beginning to transform the engagement of readers with English novels, with cases, such as those who bring literary worlds to life in 3D spaces. Finally, through digital platforms such as Wattpad and Kindle, participatory storytelling takes place because these enable fans of English novels to add and reinterpret their established narratives. The research details the opportunities as well as the challenges created by these innovations in technology for English literature into a holistic background against which the changing face of the English novel in the age of digitizing might be understood.
